Can I wait until morning to put the coldslaw dressing on? This recipe is for church lunch about 12:30 tomorrow morning!
Reply
Chef Dennis Littley
You can wait until tomorrow, but cole slaw is best after it has set for a day in the dressing. The cabbage isn’t as crunchy and it gives the dressing time to add flavor to the cabbage.

This seems runny. I hope it thickens up in the refrigerator. I followed the recipe.

Chef Dennis Littley
It’s actually going to get looser as it sits with the cabbage, as the cabbage releases moisture. It should have been fairy thick when the dressing was finished. It could be the brand of mayo as some are not as thick.
