Even though it's been less than a year since this article's initial publication, some fan favorite Shonen Jump series have come to a close while others have risen to the forefront.
10/10 Mission: Yozakura Family (2019 - Ongoing)

Following the tragic and untimely death of his family, high schooler Taiyo Asano prefers to live a quiet reserved life in an attempt to avoid getting close to anyone who might unexpectedly leave him again. The sole exception to this rule is Mutsumi Yozakura, Taiyo's childhood best friend. After finding out that Mutsumi is slated to become the next leader of a prominent family of spies, Taiyo decides that the best way to protect his friend is to marry her, becoming a Yazakura spy himself.
Hilarity ensues as Taiyo struggles to prove himself to Kyoichrio, Mutsumi's ridiculously overprotective older brother, all the while trying to survive assassins, kidnappings, and the Yozakura family's infamously brutal spy training. If he can survive the perils of his new family, Taiyo will possibly uncover the truth of what happened to his former one.
9/10 Seraph Of The End (2012 – Ongoing)

This manga follows Yūichirō Hyakuya, a young boy who has devoted his life to eradicating vampires in order to pursue justice for a series of occurrences that took place four years before.
In 2012, due to a human-made virus, the world was depleted of populaces above the age of 13. Consequently, vampires were permitted to arise from the depths and overpower humanity, with only a handful of humans obtaining “protection” by supplying the vampires with blood. Yūichirō (at 12), in an effort to flee from the orphanage he resided in with his friends, only just escaped with his life and witnessed his friends be slain. Seraph of the Endbrilliantly combines the vampire with the apocalypse genres.
8/10 Dr. Stone (2017 – Ongoing)
Another great one of the end-of-times subgenre, in 2019 Dr. Stone was awarded the 64th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shōnen category. Opening in April 5738 A.D., over 3,700 years have gone by since an enigmatic burst of light turned to stone virtually all human existence.
A 16-year-old prodigy called Senkū Ishigami is unexpectedly revitalized to find himself on an earth where all remnants of human civilization have been worn by the passage of time. Senkū builds a basic lab and commences to examine the rigidified humans, so as to establish the origin of the incident, as well as a treatment.
7/10 Black Clover (2015 – Ongoing)

The narrative of Black Clover follows Asta and Yuno, two orphans and friends raised together in an orphanage in Hage village. In this world, everyone can use magical powers, with the exception of Asta, a thing that is completely unheard of. He attempts to acquire magical abilities through physical exercise.

Contrariwise, Yuno is inherently a prodigy with vast magical authority and the gift to manipulate wind magic. Driven by a yearning to become the succeeding Wizard King, a title only second to the king of Clover Kingdom, the two young men develop an amicable competitiveness and experience many adventures as they fight for the name of Wizard King.
6/10 Blue Exorcist (2009 – Ongoing)

In the world of Blue Exorcist, two dimensions exist, the physical world where humans reside, Assiah, and Gehenna, the realm of demons, ruled by Satan. Any demon can travel to the realm of Assiah by possessing a living creature from it. There are those humans termed Exorcists, individuals who work to terminate demons who operate in a destructive manner in Assiah.
The narrative centers on Rin Okumura, raised by Father Shiro (an Exorcist) who finds out that he is the offspring of Satan. Seeing Shiro sacrificing to shield him, Rin draws the demon-slayer sword Kurikara, which confines his demonic abilities. Rin obtains the power to burn blue and annihilate almost whatever he touches. Rin enrolls in the True Cross Academy to become an Exorcist and defeat Satan.
5/10 Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (2016 – Ongoing)

Set decades after the events of Naruto: Shippuden, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations functions as the formal furtherance of the Naruto franchise. It took the plot of Boruto: Naruto the Movie and then extended the narrative afterward. The manga starts with Boruto Uzumaki confronting an enemy called Kawaki during the obliteration of his community.

Being the son of Hokage Naruto Uzumaki, Boruto was upset at his father for prioritizing the village over his family. At the time, Boruto became a member of a ninja squad led by Naruto's apprentice, Konohamaru, along with Sarada Uchiha, the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura. Upon Sasuke’s return to the township to inform Naruto of imminent danger, Boruto convinces the Uchihas to coach him for the approaching Chunin examination to astonish his father.
4/10 Jujutsu Kaisen (2018 - Ongoing)

Set in modern-day Japan, Jujutsu Kaisen is a contemporary supernatural horror that recently rose to stardom after its anime became a hit during 2020's worldwide lockdowns. The story follows Yuji Itadori, an abnormally athletically gifted high schooler who unwittingly finds himself embroiled in the supernatural after finding a powerful cursed object during an outing with his school's Occult Research Club, an act that draws dangerous spirits to his school.
During a close encounter with several Cursed Spirits, Yuji swallows his Cursed Object to absorb its power and defeat the Cursed Spirits. Now, Yuji's fused, mind, body, and spirit, with the most powerful Cursed Spirit in history and must choose between a swift death or joining Jujutsu High, a special school that trains Jujutsu sorcerers to fight the many Cursed Spirits roaming Japan. Fans can continue to follow Yuji's journey to achieve "a proper death" after the manga returns from a brief hiatus as series creator, Gege Akutami, takes a quick break to focus on recent health concerns.
3/10 Hunter X Hunter (1998 – Ongoing)

With a pair of anime to its name, Hunter X Hunter has been around for a very long time, but is serialized irregularly and has gone on many hiatuses, resulting in only 390 chapters being released in a span of 22 years. Nevertheless, it has an intriguing and exciting premise and is worth reading.

It centers around a boy called Gon Freecss, who learns that his dad, who abandoned him when he was a toddler, is truly a world-famous Hunter: a qualified professional trained in fantastical quests, such as tracing uncommon or unknown species, hunting treasure, charting unfamiliar territories, or bringing criminals to justice. Gon embarks on a voyage to become a Hunter and ultimately meet his father. Along the road, he encounters several other Hunters and faces paranormal forces.

A Japanese retelling of American superhero mythos, My Hero Academia is set in a world where almost the entire human population has developed superpowers called Quirks: each one is unique, and rarely will two people have the same one, but Quirks are roughly separated into three categories: Emitters, Transformations, and Mutants. Many have chosen sides, becoming either Heroes or Villains, dependent on how they use their Quirks: for good or evil.
The protagonist, Izuku Midoriya (aka Deku), longs to become a Hero despite lacking a Quirk. He idolizes one of the world's supreme Heroes, All Might, also knowing of a grave injury All Might has been hiding from the public. All Might passes his Quirk "One For All" to Izuku to replace him, after witnessing the boy's resolve during danger.

The longest and probably most famous of “The Big Three" (and also the only one left standing), One Piece has reached almost 1,000 chapters, 23 years of existence, and a sort of legendary reputation. The series is the top best-selling manga in history and has spawned a huge media franchise with an anime, fourteen feature films, video games, and plenty of merchandise just to name a few.
